Stubben is a household name in the equestrian community, one that stands for quality and craftsmanship. This is an older Stubben, and is actually a prototype model that Stubben used as they refined their blocking style and mono flap saddles. This one is not a mono flap, but has some design features that make it similar. This is an 18" Parzival jump saddle, on a 29 cm tree, which is MN per Stubben, but this one fits like a true Medium with a 4.75" gullet that has ample clearance and a wider channel throughout the saddle. 13" high forward jump flaps with both knee and thigh blocks. The top flap is cut out and to make slots for the blocking that is fixed to the underlap. There are some rub marks on the blocks on each side, each about the size of a dime, where the leather has been worn down into the foam blocks, but doesn't impact use or function at all. Billets sound, flocking is decent, but would be replaced in the near future. This is a very comfortable, quality jump saddle!
