“ GUM BALL MACHINE “ is a whimsical cow designed to look like a transparent cow-shaped figurine filled with brightly colored gum balls. Her bright red lips are an added touch to her femininity. Dura Dittmar is the artist who created the original, and larger fiberglass bovine for the “ Houston Cow Parade “ charity auction event. Dura used shading and strong highlights to make each gum ball appear to be round......and ready to fall out of the spout. Silver metallic paint was used to simulate the turning lever, coin slot, and spout where the gum balls would be exiting this whimsical machine. The coin slot actually looks three-dimensional because of Dura’s artistic talent. A nostalgic
5-cent sticker is also boldly displayed next to the coin slot. Duras’s four-year old daughter’s fascination with gum ball machines was the inspiration needed to design such a special “ COW PARADE “ figurine. Be ready to smile a lot when you become the owner of this fun-loving little heifer. She is brand new, in mint condition, and comes with her original box, hangtag, and styrofoam and plastic interior protection. She has been stored out of direct sunlight in a smoke-free, dust-free environment, and has only been taken out of her box twice. The first time when she was inspected upon her arrival...and again when she was photographed for her debut on eBay.
