Pair of Lewmar “Ocean Series” 50ST self-tailing,
two speed
, winches with aluminum drums. These fourth generation, current production winches have been completely serviced by a Lewmar-trained technician and are ready for years of reliable service. Do not confuse with Lewmar’s cheaper EVO line of winches; these are Lewmar’s current, English-made, premium self-tailing winches. Unlike Lewmar’s earlier self tailing winches, the ocean series jaws automatically adapt to a wide range of line diameters and are the optimal choice for either modern, high-strength, small diameter control lines or traditional control lines.  For more information please visit Lewmar.com. This particular pair of winches was previously installed and appears to have been sparingly used. Both winches are in excellent mechanical condition – jaws and all gear surfaces remain sharp. All springs have been replaced with new factory original springs. All pawls that showed signs of wear were replaced with new.

SERVICE SPECIFICATIONS:

Specifically, our winch service is a thorough and time-consuming process taking 3+ hours per winch:
·
Each winch is completely disassembled and all parts are soaked in solvent and manually cleaned to remove the years of caked-on, hardened grease usually present.
·
All parts are carefully inspected and unserviceable parts are replaced.
·
All springs are replaced with new Lewmar factory springs (heavier gauge and more reliable than older springs); all pawls are examined and those that show any wear are replaced.
·
Winches are carefully re-assembled and lubricated with Lewmar brand lubricants per Lewmar Winch Service Manual and are tested for proper function upon assembly.
