This is a Barient Winch, Made in US Number 21
As can be seen in the pictures the Chrome is worn, and it appears that it is Chrome Plated Bronze with some parts Stainless Steel. The cover is aluminum so the winch is very lightweight although not as pretty.
I cleaned the bearings up to make sure everything works and nothing is stuck. The springs and pawls are all good but it needs to be completely cleaned and re-greased and reassembled. There are great Youtube videos showing how it's done.
These are also great on your pier for docking boats or even installed on a powerboat to aid in Docking and Anchor retrieval.

Weighs just under 8 pounds and stands about 6 inches high and 5.5 inches across.
