Please see all 10 picturesOffering this fantastic vintage celluloid doll, dating to the 1920s - 1930s. Amazing boy doll stands about 9” tall. He is fashionably dressed in sweater, knickers, button boot spats or gaiters, long wrapped striped pink scarf , large billowing checkers cap, large round pince-nez (armless) glasses with cord (i/e Theodore Roosevelt); and holds either a hot dog or an apparent toy gun. I assume the later.
I have never seen this figure before and believe him to be quite rare. I can’t find a reference. I call him Kid Hollywood, as he has that early Hollywood essence to him. He definitely has style. He looks like a Viscoloid character but with more color. He is embossed at the back of the scarf with a symbol of a cross in a circle and marked Japan with an apparent patent number, but I can’t find the reference. He also has a paper sticker on the bottom with a stamp but I can’t read it.
Overall, he is in very nice condition with fantastic colors and design. the top of his cap is dented in and there is a small hole underneath his right heel. Other than these flaws, he looks superb.
