    Description

You are bidding on a SUPERB and 100% ORIGINAL used example of a WW2 German Luftwaffe Ölbehalter (Oil Tank) (210.942-023 H 001), as ONLY used in the Messerschmitt Me262 Turbojet Fighter Aircraft!
The Messerschmitt Me 262, nicknamed Schwalbe (German: "Swallow") in fighter versions, or Sturmvogel (German: "Storm Bird") in fighter-bomber versions, was the world's first operational jet-powered fighter aircraft. Design work started before World War II began, but problems with engines, metallurgy and top-level interference kept the aircraft from operational status with the Luftwaffe until mid-1944. The Me 262 was faster and more heavily armed than any Allied fighter, including the British jet-powered Gloster Meteor.
One of the most advanced aviation designs in operational use during World War II,
the Me 262's roles included light bomber, reconnaissance and experimental night fighter versions.
Made of aluminum, this Oil Tank is a FANTASTIC find!
Though there are some marks, dents, and wear, i
t is in EXCELLENT, used condition and still VERY solid!
This tank was mounted inside the fuselage, just above the gear well.  Features some late-war decal manufacture tags (worn), but does still retain the original "Ha1" code written on the side (specific to the Me262).  Missing the oil filter that mounts on the top, but
those can be found if one wished to replace it.  Also, there are some clear marks where the mounting straps were attached, proving this was removed from an Me262 used in combat (not surplus stock).  Not sure if usable/functional, so I am selling as-is.
I have shown its location in the last photos.  An EXCELLENT addition to any collection, restoration, or simply for display!

    ------------------- ABOUT ME -----------------
Although my passion is the Me109, I do offer many other German Aircraft (Fw190, Me262, etc.), as well as USAF and Japanese items. Occasionally I do offer many non-vintage items such as prints and art relating to the time period. As a private collector myself, I am constantly on the lookout for historical memorabilia, authentic photographs, artwork or anything unique relating to military aircraft.
